ANDRES SARDA SPRING SUMMER 23 LINGERIE COLLECTION

Andres Sarda’s Spring Summer 23 series are inspired by women who have been revolutionary in the world of architecture. In a world as uncertain as the one we are in, where new crises appear constantly, putting everything at risk, we can only control what surrounds us, our day to day, our environment. Through that, we can attempt to influence the world, improve it by making it a kinder, more positive and pleasant place.Architecture helps us build a better world, sharing beauty, wellness, inspiration and positivism. Breaking barriers, becoming accessible, surprising, always bringing something new and positive to our lives.

LONG

In honour of Mary Jane 'MJ' Long. Born in New Jersey, USA, Long completed a degree in Architecture at Yale before moving to the UK in 1965.

MJ Long oversaw the operational aspects of the design of the British Library alongside her husband, Colin St John Wilson, who is often given sole credit for the building. It took 15 years to complete. Long was also known for her practice, MJ Long Architect, which she ran from 1974 to 1996. She designed several artists’ studios during this time, in particular for designers.

The Long series perfectly combines European charmeuse fabric, which is extremely delicate, fresh and soft with a light satin touch, with a contrasting floral band that adds a touch of femininity and sensuality to this collection, which aims to be a comfortable set of garments for daily use, finished with a touch of femininity. Spaghetti strap detail made of the same fabric and decorated with a matching piece for added lightness.

A single colour, SAH Sahara, contrasts with the aqua green, opaline lace. The perfect combination for garments seeking invisibility with a touch of femininity

The second series of the Barcelona segment is inspired by Zaha Hadid was an Anglo-Iraqi architect who followed the deconstructivist movement. She spent most of her life in London, where she studied architecture. She received some of the most important prizes in the profession, such as the Mies van der Rohe Prize (2003) and the Pritzker Prize (2004).

She was the only woman to reach this male-dominated cenacle. She was the first woman to win the Pritzker, considered the most important prize in architecture, and which has been awarded since 1979. She received it in 2004

ZAHA

Zaha is the most feminine, sensual collection in the Barcelona line. The idea of having such a collection in the premium line appealed to us, and we consider it a plus for the brand.

A perfect combination of extremely delicate, soft, mesh-like fabric and a lace band that perfectly frames and defines it. Elastic and stiff tulle help us to shape and protect certain areas of greater tension, and to craft the spaghetti straps.

This collection features two colors: Florida, our hero! Feminine, subtle, on-trend. And Black, pure, unconditional sensuality.

EDEN ROCK

For Spring-Summer 2023, we wanted to bring back one of our top sellers, Eden Rock, a series known and recognised by most of our customers.

It’s made in a perfect, harmonious combination of lovely, soft elastic tulle with lace in the form of a floral band, exclusively designed for Andres Sarda. Both items are part of the collection from our European suppliers. Spaghetti straps embellished with a Swarovski crystal detail for a bright, colourful look.

A unique colour for this season: BLY Blazing Yellow. It's fresh, summery, and invisible, yet different from the rest and more on trend... the touch of lace in a make-up shade perfectly preserves this function.

OXMAN

Neri Oxman, born in 1976, is an Israeli-American architect, designer and professor at the MIT Media Lab, where she runs the Mediated Matter research group.

She is known for her art and architecture, which combine design, biology, computation and material engineering. Her work incorporates environmental design and digital morphogenesis

She coined the phrase ‘material ecology’ to define her work

A series inspired by the architectural design put forward by Oxman. Lines positioned in a herringbone pattern, embroidered on a sheer tulle base to further enhance the aesthetics of the design. This collection is outlined by floral band detailing on the underbust or the sides... different positions for each garment, reinforcing their character. The suppliers of the embroidery and the lace are both of French origin. Exclusively designed straps, inspired by Oxman’s lines, made in a pattern and with a subtle detail in the form of a golden hoop connecting it with the rest of the garment.

Oxman features two colours:

LTA - Light Tan, the perfect single-colour combination for this play on invisibility

OLG - Olive Green, contrasting colours, embroidery in olive green reinforced with black lace

TYNG

This series is inspired by Anne Griswold Tyng, who was an American architect.

She collaborated with Louis Kahn for 19 years. She became a member of the American Institute of Architects and a Fellow of the US National Academy of Design in 1975.

Tyng features two colours: EVB, Evening Blue, as the name indicates, this is a wonderful night-sky blue. The tulle windows are in transparent skin colour to reinforce this effect.

WIT, White, a fresh, timeless colour that looks wonderful in lace. In this case, the tulle windows are in white.

ANDRAOS

This series is named after Amale Andraos, a Lebanese-American based in New York. Not only does her work centre around design and construction, her educational roles as Dean of Columbia University, and professor at Harvard and Princeton Universities occupy a large part of her time. Her playful, daring architecture seeks to bring together the urban, the rural and the natural. Her latest projects include the creation of a new neighbourhood in San Francisco.

Andraos features two colours: PCH – Peach, a fresh, seasonal colour that works well for transparent details. FVI - Funky Violet, an intense colour for summer. Elegant with touches of brightness
