Andres Sarda SS18 Swimwear: tropical birds

The Andres Sarda Spring-Summer 2018 swimwear collection is inspired by tropical birds. All the series in the swimwear collection are infused with their colours and energy.

Aracari

Aracari is made from a very soft ribbed fibre with a decoration in the same colour as the piece embroidered with a geometric print and short fringes. The series comes in four colours: petroleum, khaki, brilliant yellow and navy. It’s important to note that the colours of all the pieces in the series go with the colours of the other Andres Sarda swimwear series, maximising the opportunities to mix and match colours and styles. Aracari comes in various styles: everything from a spectacular trikini, tied at the neck, to a boxer tanga, one of the most requested pieces by customers. (It’s worth remembering that Andres Sarda tops and bottoms are always sold separately, so that customers are able to choose the styles that best suit their needs.) The series also includes a strapless dress that can be worn as a skirt, made from a ribbed microfibre that is a little lighter than the swimwear and with the same geometric embroidery at the top as the bikini, which comes in three flavours: wire, no wire and halter neck.

Pitta

Made from a piqué fabric that agreeably adapts to the shape of the body. The pattern is of stripes in different dimensions and most styles include a tone-on-tone enamel ring on the sides of the bottoms, in the middle of the neckline on the tops and asymmetrically on one of the straps of the one-piece swimsuit. The Pitta series comes in two colour versions: a sailor combination (white, red and navy) and fuchsia (a cocktail of green, coral and pink in sherbet tones). The series also includes a dress with straps and a short skirt with the same pattern.

Roller

The Roller series is made from microfibre with elastane and comes in various prints: on the one hand, an imitation snakeskin print (in a sailor combination of white and navy) and, on the other, a camouflage print with the characteristic greens in pastel tones. In the series they highlight details like a methacrylate resin piece in contrast tone on the mini-bikini top and very low bottoms with gathering at the back (the one-piece swimsuit also has gathering at the back). Roller also includes a short viscose dress with straps and the matching print, gathered at the waist.

Tanager

Tanager is one of the most sophisticated series in the Andres Sarda spring-summer 2018 swimwear collection. Made from microfibre with satin stitch, it comes in four very powerful colours: classic black, metallic with echoes of mercury, a very energetic green forest and an intense coral verging on crimson. The metallic pieces on the straps add sparkle to a series with eye-catching lacing that peppers the straps on shoulders and back. Besides the one-piece swimsuit, Tanager also includes a long dress with straps – ideal after a day on the beach – and three types of briefs: regular, low-rise with side ties and high briefs with vintage feel.

Quetzal

Quetzal is an Andres Sarda swimsuit series for spring-summer 2018 with a clear navy look. The horizontal stripes are what really catches the eye in this series in a fabric that is the swimwear version of wild silk. The wide stripes are coloured navy, yellow and white on the one hand and khaki, black and coral on the other. Standouts in the series: an impressive trikini, an adjustable mid-length dress that helps shape the figure and retro high briefs.

Turaco

The floral and animal prints are the stars of Turaco, designed in Italy and made on a piqué foundation. The prints are in turquoise and coral tones on a white foundation or in blue and yellow on a nude foundation. Shining resin beads are strategically placed on the straps and the sides of the briefs, as well as on the short dress with flouncing on the skirt and matching sleeves. We also emphasise the deep V-neck of the swimsuit.

Kea

Kea is pure geometry. The series comes in microfibre with a higher than usual proportion of elastane, which creates a very light fabric that subtly moulds the female form without any sense of tightness. Black combines with navy, with, as eye-catching details, buttons covered in the same fabric and a small metallic brooch that breaks the geometry (crosses and triangles) of the side sections of the boxer briefs and the back of the one-piece swimsuit. The series also includes a top in the same microfibre. Definitely one of the most architectural series in the Andres Sarda Spring-Summer 2018 swimwear collection.

Heron

After navy stripes, one of the most characteristic summer prints is polka dots. They’ve found safe haven in the Heron series in the Andres Sardá Spring-Summer 2018 swimwear collection. Large and small, white on a navy foundation, they create a sophisticated patchwork finished off by an elastic cord typical of trimmings and combining the same white and navy colours. Likewise, another of the most elegant prints, the classic paisley drawing, is presented in two different colour combinations: one on the basis of white, greens and blues, the other a mix of yellows and pinks.  There are various special pieces in the series: a swimsuit with very deep-cut halter neck, tied at the neck and with open back, cut low and straight, a long tunic in two colours that extends down to the feet and a long onesie with the same print in micromodal.
